Pirate Night, Subculture, Birmingham Academy
Much to the illusion of my scribblings or at least my appearance, I go to alot of totally different clubs, and last night went to Subculture, hailed as 'probably the most diverse rock night ever.' It was their third yearly Pirate Night, with free rum shots for all dressed up and competitions for best dressed. I took the chance to play face hunter and photographed well over 150 pirates and wenches. I can only put up a few photos so if I took yours, just email me from my site on the right and I can send you it! Here are some of the best and the craziest...
And just some people who looked cool...
This guy was navy, not pirate... sometimes it's better to be different!

Sometimes it's great to be old ...
Seriously, Selina, wonderful to see a picture blog ... pity you didn't have a video camera - the sooner we get PostTube the better!
Ms Saucer,
Anothet fine set of scribblings, plus actual factual pictorials.
Marvellous!
My wife (Mrs Belm) has been suitably inspired, as I myself predicted on your other site, to wear her own pirate outfit this week when she goes magistrating.
(PS: The House of Belm designs are progressing nicely, in case you were wondering).
You took a pic of me & my bf that nite. I have long black hair & he has a blonde mohawk. Can you send me that pic if you have it please? x
Sid- i did try to make a video of the night but my camera speakers were nearly blown, it just came out a crackly mess!
Derek- I'm glad to inspire! And I look forward to seeing the HoB progress!
Lexy- if you give me your email address I will send you the photo :)
