CERN's Large Hadron Collider - explained through the medium of rap
Feeling puzzled by protons or bamboozled by bosons?
Well the Large Hadron Collider rap could help clear some of that confusion.
Already looking like an Internet viral hit the rap, produced by a CERN press officer, explores some of the science behind the world's largest physics experiment.
It's an unusual way to convey a scientific message.
Behind all the doom-mongering and apocalyptic predictions about black holes, today was momentous for particle physics.
The start up of the Large Hadron Collider (LHC) has also got its significance to Birmingham. The equipment that detects and records interesting collisions between particles for the ATLAS and ALICE sensors was designed and built by teams from the University of Birmingham.
The Post has been following the progress of the LHC and, in December last year, I was lucky enough to have a tour of the tunnel from Professor Peter Watkins and Dr David Evans from the University of Birmingham. We also have pictures from the tour in our gallery, which show the staggering scale of the project.
