Am I the only one who thinks The Passion, currently showing on BBC 1, is a pretty good stuff - on par with Franco Zeffirelli's Jesus of Nazareth (1977) - that starred Robert Powell? Do you remember it?
Is it me or is our government going a little crazy - just a wee bit mad - on the issues of allegiance and Britishness?
If it's not proposing a flag-waving day for all of us then it's trying trying to implement language testing for immigrants; if it's not about getting rid of translated leaflets in other languages - in public places like hospitals - then it's suggesting the introduction of 'citizenship ceremonies' for school leavers - or at least on a voluntary basis.
