New Season New Technology

By Brian Dick on Aug 28, 08 03:34 PM in

With the new rugby season due to start this weekend it is my intention to produce a regular rugby podcast for the Birmingham Post website.

The following link takes you to the first one of the series, an interview with Birmingham & Solihull head coach Russell Earnshaw previewing the coming campaign.

In it Russell discusses his summer recruitment, the club's aims for the season, the challenges Bees face and how well equipped they are to do with them.

Use this link.

Since this is the first one I would like as much feedback as possible about how you feel this can work for your club.

At this stage I see no reason why I shouldn't be able to provide something regularly on each of the clubs we cover in the newspaper, Worcester Warriors, Moseley, Coventry, Bees and Stourbridge as well as other ad hoc pieces.

Please have a listen to the interview and use this blog to leave your thoughts about any aspect of the rugby podcast project.

Helpful comments might centre on the identity of the subject - perhaps there's someone at your club you'd like to hear from, the length of the interview, the content or indeed anything else that strikes you as constructive feedback.

I will endeavour to repond via this blog to any comments left and acting on your ideas and suggestions.

Thanks for your time.

excellent initiative but Russell`s voice was compromised by background noise-difficult to pick up content.

nb-jon newcombe`s interview article with cambridge president-Rugby Times Aug 29th-is scary if true that Rugby Union now plans a "cold turkey"(my phrase) strategy to cul the bottom 4 from Div 1 with NO promotion outlet from Div 2.If true,it is back to the twilight zone of rugby for Bees,Cambridge etc.

Fair point James, need to ensure there's not a gale blowing when I interview people.

Thanks for your feedback.

Good idea this let's hear it from the horses mouth! Lets hear Binnsy on yet another year at Mose, and how about some supporters views at the Mose/Cov derby game?
Keep up the good work!

As a bees fan really good to hear this interview and Russell's views. Would definitely look forward to more of the same and pre and post match interviews.
